Message from Director

The major goals of the Institute of Integrated Micro Systems (I²MS) are to pursue multidisciplinary fundamental research areas related to micro & nano systems and to collaborate with the local industries. Hence the main objectives of the Institute are:

• To enhance the research Infrastructure relevant to the studies of micro and nano systems and technology
• To promote and coordinate the relevant Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research activities across schools and departments
• To promote the International academic exchange, especially that with mainland China institutions
• To collaborate with Industries in attracting external funding (e.g. ITF), developing products and spurring technology transfer
• To train future engineers, managers, and leaders in micro & nano systems through multidisciplinary research and development activities
